Ok, you're familiar with the area.... I didn't put in too much detail before, but the kelp beds from Natural Bridges on up to Davenport produced in Late Summer to Fall. Just outside the kelp beds, which would be 30-60ft. Not very far out. One I heard of was caught at the mile bouy in Capitola (not the one by the harbor) One day last Summer Ste S got a 35 lb flattie (right next to me at Pleasure point, then went over to that bouy and got an undersized WSB. also he saw a salmon caught there at that time Live ocean that day!

I just remembered that last year offshore from Davenport there were reports of Charter boats taking WSB near the Cement Factory, just don't know how far out though. TL
