Launched with Jimbo through some serious surf. We worked the beds from 15-30 ft from Leo to Nic Cyn. Slow fishing for us. I scratched a few bass on the Fish Traps and Jimbo plucked a nice halibut out using a sardine he snagged on his bait rig. I'd guess it was about a 12lbr. Great job Jimbo!!!
Nice weather today. Predictable lulls between the sets.
Btw, I saw about 5 big fish marks on my sonar right before getting smacked by something that towed me for about 20 ft. There wasn't any visible kelp but it managed to find a low stringer to wrap itself around. I worked the snag for about 20 minutes before yanking and breaking off.
