Launched late at 6:30 and started heading to Doheny surf line trolling a gold/black Yo-Zuri Crystal DD. Pick up a fat sand bass right around the corner in front of the sport boat docks. Turned on the camera to take a pic and the batteries gave out... DOH! Made a quick U back 100 yards to the ramp and got some fresh ones from the truck.

Started out again and hit 3 more sandies before leaving the harbor. Outside there was only a light breeze blowing but the water was murky green and along Doheny the bigger sets were almost catching me so I couldn't get in tight enough to the surfline to really fish shallow(read as: I was too chicken). Moved out deeper to 70' and worked some swimbaits along the pipeline for nada. The water got even cloudier and couldn't find bait so instead of heading to the point I started trolling back in.

Picked up several more sand bass and some decent yellow fin in the harbor basin. Stayed entertained working cranks and spinner baits along the gap and slips until 12:30. Nothing to get too excited about but all in all a fun day on the water.

Lots of decent sandies(lost count but several like the above)
4 yellow fin to about 3#
2 slimes
1 short butt
3 short WSB
