: Drove by County line just before 6 and decided on Leo. Arrived at the stairs to find 6 or so other yakers. Launched dry and headed W into snotty water. Took me 40 min. to get 1/2 way up the beach and decided DH was not worth the effort. Made a cast (FT CI Anchovie) on a stone for a 20" Calico and two more casts for a 17" and 18" respectivly. About 7:15 the water laid down and it was off to DH to look for wsb. Made bait (smelt) at the kelp and went looking for the pinnacles. Played with the plastic while soaking my bait for another 15+ bass (mostly Sandies) with 1 going 22". Did not see another soul out there all day! Ended the day dragging my smelt back to Leo (12ish) for zip but did manage to land dry. I know Mr. WSB is out there. He's just toying with me. Interesting note, at least to me, when I cleaned the big Sandie I found a small Sculpin (about 8"), a sea snail (in the shell!!) and someone elses FT. The other fish all had 'chovies. Go figure. It was good to see DMAC again and nice meeting Jeremy. Hope to see you gents again soon. It was a bit disappointing not gettin' what I came for but a damn fine day none the less.See Ya On The WaterDLDLRichard

Great report tomats! Nice size fish. Always glad to hear what baits were working. Good call on the chovie color....Kracky's been talking about how thick the chovies have been.
