I guess y'all don't have a CCA chapter out there, eh? The Coastal Conservation Association was founded here in Texas to protect our resources and rights to fish. But even in the ourdoor-friendly state I call home isn't out of the reach of the elitist homeowners!

The freshwater kayaking stinks in Houston, unless you count Buffalo Bayou- which DOES stink. But the coast is SO close. Granted, we're not RIGHT there, but anything less than an hour is considered CLOSE. Some spots are less than 20 mintues from my house. The great thing about H-town is that you can access three different bay systems in less than 1.5 hours' drive, and each of those bay systems has endless fishing possiblities. I'm not sure you how far your commute to the ocean is, but you know as well as I do that one can spend more than 2 hours in traffic and never leave town! Just come visit your sis, man. The Gulf bays and flats are a thing to behold at sunup. We'll put you on a Texas bull red, and you'll be "yee-hawin" from then on...
