Makos are highly aggressive, very quick sharks that go nuts when hooked or brought on board a boat. On a list of dangerous sharks, they are rated ahead of Great Whites, and only behind bull sharks for coastal inshore species.
Your distance paddling days could end quickly with one of these on the hook.
