Paddle clips for OK scupperTW (JAS or anybody can answer)

Does your paddle clip get in the way when you paddle?

sometimes? Never? or Always?

I am going to get the rubber paddle clips. How far apart should they be so they don't get in the way?
I have the OK scupper TW.
