: Eagle Eye,Sounds like a hairy landing. I'm glad you made it in in one piece. I was planning on trying that area soon. I was thinking of a little farther South at the North end of South Carlsbad State Beach where the road dips and there is a parking area. I haven't seen too many surfer's there, maybe that's a good sign. Robert
