Since I dont fish line over 30lb. off kayaks, it has not been a problem for me. Palomar has worked for all my sharks with no knot failure. In Hawaii, I have used Palomar knots on 60lb. up thru 100 lb.with good results on 200 to 300 lb. class Marlin with no knot failure, if you tie it right it works fine. My 2 cents. TL Rhino
