I got my stuff from the Mark at the Hook1 site Jason mentioned. They seem to be really good people to deal with and have the best prices around. Use email rahter than the phone since they check that frequently.

He drove to Dana Harbor in the morning to meet me and brought a sample of his other stuff that I hadnt mentioned wanting (since I hadnt seen it). Bought everything except the fishfinder mount from him and got that at West Marine (dont think he carries a ram mount). Used ram for complete flexability for fishfinder rather than the cumbersome (but secure) ratchet system used by Scotty.

Nice thing about Scotty is that I have two boats and after mounting a base in each boat and a transducer in each hull I can just pick up the fishing setup off one and put it on the other and simply use a single rod holder in one of the boats if my wife is going along.

Really like the setup so far on light tackle. Actually like the tube holder the best. Will be trying the heavier salmon outfits soon and think the much longer butts may interfere with my feet or each other but dont anticipate anything I cant adapt to. Probably have to angle one slightly backwards.

Wish I had a digital camera to post picture. Maybe getting one of those soon.

: Here's where I mounted My Scotty rod holder on my Pro Explorer. I use it for trolling and drifting. It keeps the rod out of the way while I'm paddling when I troll. It was a little awkward to get to at first. But I am used to it now and I probably wouldn't want it any other way. Having the rod in front of you when you troll is a great thing. You can watch the tip of the rod when you are trolling plugs. When you get the right speed and the plug gets the right action the rod tip starts throbing. When your plug gets fouled with eel grass or kelp you can tell right away. It's difficult to see this when the rod is behind you. I love it for deadsticking plastics and frozen anchovies. I also use my 10 lb spinning outfit with this set up. I used some 1/4-20 screws, some large fender washers, and some nylock nuts.
