What would be the problem with mounting a rod holder between the footwells?. On my old yak, I had a scotty mounted way up front and it was a pain to get to quickly. I will install a Garmin up front on the new Pro Ex, but think I'd rather have the scotty in front of the FF rather than the other way around. With that thought, I figure moving it closer would be nice. Any experience with this?. Am I not forseeing a possible problem?. Any help with this would be greatly appreciated. BTW Malibu Kayaks will send the cut out plastic for backing with your Yak for no extra charge.
