Since I was solo today I didn’t have the will to troll all day so I mooched with frozen chovies. I started where I saw bait at about 80’ for one short bite then worked my way out to 110’. I didn’t see any bait and the birds I saw were working outside about another 2 miles and that’s where I saw the only boats for the day. So I headed back to Arco Island to salvage some bass, about a half hour later all the birds went nuts. Everything with wings was heading outside, so off I went back outside. The birds were in about 75’ deep water. So I drop a chovie and lost it and a hook to a cuda I repeated that process six times until I start throwing the cuda slayer (blue and white light iron) and bam! Finely land a slimmer and I mean a log, one of the larger cudas I’ve caught. So now its officially WFO cuda slaying I must have hooked about 30 in an hour and a half. I headed in at about 1:15 and still no wind.
