Rockfish exemption stamp for self propelled, singleman vessels. I would pay an extra $10 to $15 for that. Pierre lets get something started. Start a petition or something. Ill help.

: Hello,My son (10 years old), a friend of him from time to time, and myself started to do kayak fishinglast year from beacheswith no road access between Santa Cruz and Davenport. We were going out around 10 times a year, no morebecause- i/we have to drag the kayaks+equipement from the road to the beach (about 3/4 of a mile)- the waves have to be small enough (this coast is very exposed, so it does not happen every day)- we have to get up early, because in the afternoon you get this damn north thermic wind that would blow you down to LA.We were catching between 0 and 5 rockfishes each time.It was a fabulous fun because of the excitement of the fishing for the children, and for me the scenery andthe challenging conditions (fog, waves, rocks, wind)to monitor. When i learned about the new regulation (basicallyrockfishing closed from november to july) i was filled with consternation.Sorting between rockfish species to know whichone you can keep is unrealistic.Going out without the fishing is not the same, you have much less excitement. In this case my boyswill prefer to stick to the play-station rather thanpaddling. My point is:- why to prevent kayafishing while its impact is completely negligeable (i never saw another kayak fishing around us, but i saw dozens of power boats coming from Santa Cruz)- the regulators could allow kayakfishing (even with some limitations for ex each other week) and it would not slow down the fish recovery.- the regulators already allowed the fishing from the shore to continue because they know the impact on the fish population is zero.- i am tired to pay for the people that emptied the sea and that prevent me to have simple and harmless funMy question:------------Do you know people/organization that is lobbyingto allow kayakfishing all along the year.I would be eager to do something if i can in thisdirection.Regards,Pierre
