: This Saturday I tryed to install my own rod holders and wasn't very successful. I left about a 1.5 inch hole(diameter) in the top part of my yak. Any suggestions on how to fix it or cover it up or something!! All suggestions will be appreciated. Congrats to the guys who got the WSB!!

: Thanks, Chase

Cover it with a 1/2" thick piece of teal wood and bond it in place with 3M 5200 Mairne Sealant. Do not use a silicon sealer. 3M 5200 is used extensively in the commercial fishing industry (go to Ventura Harbor Ship Yard and see what the pro's use to reburb their boats). Cut a round piece of the teak about 2 1/2" to cover a 1 1/2" hole. Mask off a 3" hole concentric to the kayak hole. Apply the 5200. Screw Teak in place fron the back side with stainless wood screw. Clean up with 5200 with acetone. Remove tap with in 15 minute of acetone clean up. Job done.
