Hey Cliff, most of the fish we catch have gas bladders. Rock fish, bass, croaker(except corbina), white fish, and perch. The ones that don't are all sharks, flat fish, lings, scorpion fish(sculpin), cabezon, tunas, and most jacks. The bloating trouble is most depth related. The deeper it is the harder it is for the fish. In fresh water most fish have bladders exept the cat fish. Mike
