That's kind of like saying you can't think of a reason you need anything more than an empty can of tecate and some mono and a rusty bait hook to catch fish. ;-)Of course I'm teasing, a little. But waders are the primo system for safety and comfort in a yak on the ocean because they allow YOU to control the warmth by layering under them. They, unlike wetsuits or even paddle pants, provide a seamless water and wind-proof lightweight shell from chest to toes. That is the lightweight dry-breathables. Neoprene waders are almost as miserable as a tecate can...err wetsuit. You can get off the yak waist-deep even after being splashed like crazy, pop off the dry breathables and budda-bing you are totally clean, dry and warm, and the waders are dry in minutes as well. I jump in my car and wear them home often.Like any other step-up in your equipment, skill and knowledge, it takes a little time to understand, and exploit the advantages of a new system, to figure out how they work and the new things you can do.But you have been shown the path, you have taken the first steps on the path, now it's up to you if you walk the path or not...Glad you guys had fun!Quietman

Quitman,
You remind me of the newspaper. No matter how many times I say no, they keep trying to solicit me. They keep trying to cram that paper down my throat. Wise man once said "I don't know". He also said "to each his own". You come across like you are intellectually superior because you found the deep inner truth to a superior way of life through waders. They're just waders. It's not like it comes covered in wool, inflates and grunts "baaa--aaa-aaaa-aaaa-aaaaa-aaaad".-Jackyak
