Brought my kayak down to the beach around 8:30 A.M. Met a guy there named Dan from Vista. Dan, it was good meeting you and talking kayaks and fishing. Paddled out past the sailboats tword the bridge and hooked up with a 27" cuda trolling the Rebel Spoonbill. Trolled some more for nada. Caught 1 spotty under the bridge on a grub. Went to the flat and caught 1 spotty deadsticking a 'chovie. Caught another on a spinner bait. That was it. Kind of a slow day. The wind started to pick up so I headed back in. Talked to a guy in a yellow Hobie Mirage who was fishing by the bridge. He only caught 1 spotty in a few hours of fishing. Lots of fish on the fishfinder all over. Not many biters. Off the water by 12:30 P.M. Nice day on the water.
