: I'm looking for information on Susquehanna Flats. I've never been there, but hear that it's a fantabulous spot for stripers and shad early in the season and for largemouth into summer. There's a ton of information on the web, but mostly for guided trips from bass boats. I'd like to get up there during the April catch-and-release season for stripers. At 18" to 3' depth for a huge area from Havre de Grace to Annapolis, it sounds just perfect for kayak fishing. Anything anybody may know about the area - good launch sites, good spots to try or to avoid, or even lure suggestions - would be great. I'm hoping to put together a whole plastic armada for a fine time on the water - but so far only have two takers (i.e. people nuts enough to take on the bass boats in the upper Chesapeake Bay from a kayak) and maybe a third if his Pungo comes in on time. New subject: As I look out at the fresh snow (already thawing - hey, it is Virginia), I am jealous of you Left Coasters with your 12 months of hospitable fishing, but thankful for hearing your stories of trips when ol' freezyboy here is staying close to the fire and hot chocolate while reaching for a blanket. Ah well, the Lord has blessed Virginia richly for outdoor opportunities, and I guess I shouldn't grouse when the cross-country skiers get a go. Anyway, thanks in advance for your help, y'all.- Big D
