I can't remember the models numbers, but the one I have has been the most reliable reel I own. Out of my Daiwas, Penns and Abu's, the Newell has proven to me that it has the strongest hold up power out of all the brands/models I own. I've really punished it. I clean all of my reels but what I've noticed with the Newell is that it's required the least amount of maintenance and it's never failed me (my Daiwas and Abu's have failed at one time or another but I still love them). Some reels malfunction if they get one grain of sand or a few of salt in there. Not Newell. The only part I've seen prone to any rust was one berring.

They are high speed reels. Good for anything I've come across while on a kayak.
