December 2001, I got caught in a Santa Anna fishing at the Coronados. Scariest day I have had on the water. We were taking on so much water, if we would have lost the engine we would have been done for. Heard later that another boater was not as lucky as us and had capsized. Can't even imagine facing that in a kayak. New found respect for the sea that day.
