The Iceman and myself launched at 6:30 AM, punching our way through 4ft waves (technically it was a dry launch) but I was pretty wet by the time we made it out past the second set of breakers.

We spent the morning drifting west with the wind and the off shore flow in 25’ to 35’ of water. We caught no halibut, but Andy picked up a white croaker and a couple of other incidental catches.

By 9:30 we made the SD Bay jetty where I caught a little calico. http://www.momentoffame.com/snapshot.html?id=31107

The skies cleared and the wind shifted making for a pleasant paddle back.

We landed dry at high tide, picking our way through surfers and some very large but very predictable breakers.

· Fished from 6:30 to noon
· (1) small calico
· Clear skies
· A little bit of chop
· 4’ plus surf
