While it is still winter get over to walmart and pick up an attwood spray head and attwood bilge pump while (or if) they are still on sale. I think the pump was under $9.00 and the spray head was $1.50. The battery will run up to $40.00 and a smart charger will run about $30.00. I bought a battery maintainer from Autozone that automatically shuts down when the battery has reached a full charge. I have been using my charger for my fishfinder battery and it works great.

Make sure your outflow is twice the diameter of your intake. However I have been thinking of just punching holes in near the top water level (in the tank) since the tank will sit in my tank well and my tank well already gets plenty of water in it by design. This will eliminate having two hoses sticking out of the tank.

Mine is a work in progress. It is small compared to most (about 1.5 times the size of a plano bait bucket) It is going to be portable, so as soon as I get the battery housing under control I will be able to finish my project.

I will document the project much like how I did with the flushmount rod holders. Go to the gear section of this website and look at the flush mount rod holders to get an idea. This project is my last priority, for two reasons. I have a ton of other projects going on and most of the people I fish with on kayaks don't use more than a trolling bait bucket and catch plenty of quality fish without a powered bait tank.
