Launched at 6:30am. Some pretty juicy beachbreaks here and there though nice lulls in between.
Not much in the way of hook ups. Caught 2 sandies on plastics. Before I caught those, I went through about 5 colors without a hook up. Tough fishing today. I started drifting with whole dead squid and LIVE MACKS. I was stoked to catch perfect macks in about 25 ft of water. Soaked Macks on the bottom for 4 hours....lots teethmarks/deep punctures on every bait but no hook ups. Caught a mantas shrimp so big I though it was a short lobster until I saw the multi colored tail (also noticed it's bad temper).
A little frustrating to not get into a solid bite but very happy to be back on the water.
