thanx for the info, i'll take that under serious consideration. Especially since i tend to be a rock-head and paddle alone often ( solace, etc.). my last yak was an xt and it was the hatch. i already knew that it couldn't be opened without taking on aqua. it seeped in anyhow and nearly got me. lucky for me i'm too stupid to be scared off...hehehehe.
