Weird. Really the detail explians how fast the weather took over and that there was just no time to secure stuff, it was an all out paddle. It seemed at some points that the wind was getting stronger. Those of us who went overboard (I think everyone did but Lou, Jack and Dave) had problems with leashes getting wrapped up in legs and just making re-entry difficult.

Dennis posted many more details of the day over on his board.

Gerry and I were the very last to unload and launch. We were going to either hit Leo or Corral, but Deep Hole is a damn fishy place and the lure of a big fish got us all on the water.

When I drove by Corral and Escondido (On the way home), it was flat and clam with a very light wind, several kayakers paddling around for fun. Sometimes that first gut reaction is probably right.
