: Sact Bee Newspaper has an article about the current ruling by the courts concerning California Coastal Commission

I didn't know there was any question to the validity or constitutionality of the CA Coastal Commission. I also didn't know someone from the Coastal Commisssion was caught taking bribes (a while back; almost every workplace has a bad seed though).

I need to read that article again. At first I was terrified that this would mean less regulating on the beachfront homeowners (I fear the ones whom want less public beach access and zero beach access near their homes regardless of the tidal mark). Seems like that is yet to be seen since there will be Govt appointed officials/positions to handle what they were originally handling.

I've had nothing but good experiences with the CA Coastal Commission. They respond very quick upon tips of beachfront homeowner violations [like in the case of a fence homeowners put up that stretched from their house straight out into the water (house was 1st Pink house just East of Corral Cyn)]. I've read a bunch of articles where they've continued to stay strong against the Malibu Council and Homeowners in their passionate quest to take public beach property and deem it private.

Unconstitutional(state)? Sounds like a bunch of shark lawyers with too much time on their hands (being funded by big business and some "big time hollywood" beachfront homeowners; hopefully this wasn't part of their fight yet it plays into it regardless).

I hope the state has a plan for a Coastal Regulatory Agency or whatever the politically and constitutionally correct name is.
