I've got the same yak, and paid to have the hatches put in. I'm sure its not to tough to put them in yourself, but measure very carefully especially with the big center hatch as there is no room for error on the sides. I think the shop used a roto-zip type handheld saw to cut the holes, and I would suggest if you live near the shop, go back and pick up some discarded hatch holes from the trash to practice on.
