New California Saltwater Salmon Record
Frank Cox, retired DFG, from Redding caught this slab near Crescent City the last week of August; fishing on the "Lucky Swede", using a Deep Six, flasher, and anchovy at 40'. The fish weighed in at 65 pounds 4 oz. and measured 48 inches long. This shattered the old California ocean record of 56 pounds.
