I know some of you guys have had these for quite some time now. I just purchased mine over the holiday. I finally got to try it out(communicate w/ another yaker) the last time I went out. The reception, once squelched correctly, was crystal clear. We weren't more than a mile, maybe 2 from each other, so it may not seem like so much of a test. But it was new to me. I am stoked I purchased one. I was also able to inform anyone listening, but at least 2 yakers, about my legal butt caught(when, where, what, etc). Though I really purchased it for emergency more than anything.
