: Does any one fish on the north coast around S.F. bay. I would like to meet someone in that area to fish with and show me the ropes.

RE:Weather patterns, wind conditions, current and tides, fisheries and santuaries, and regulations don't need anyone else to learn. What you will learn from another kayaker are the do's and don'ts, rigging a kayak, confidence, mooching, fish stories. Seriously though, if you can hook up to a guide school, where the ratio is 1 teacher to less than 5 students, it would take years off of your learning curve. There are kayak guides in so-cal that post all the time on this and other boards, that will help you if you call them, and you can fish for exotic varieties of fish not native to frisco bay and that area. I have to say I envy you, kayaking in the east bay. TL
