Yes fished the CKF Tournament in Malibu!
Read Oceanhunters report of fish lock jaw at Leo. Went out the next day check it out, was off work for the day. He was right the water temp drop big time Only sanddabs were game to bite lucky me.
So new chances of picking up more fish would be to fish more south. So pick Twin towers area. Always a great butt area for boaters.
I talk Def Jack into making the trip with me! He fishes the flats of Topanga , I new he'll be game for this. We launch out of Marina Del Rey 4:20am or so. Pick up a 1/2 scoop sardeans for my bait tank.

Started out in the dark! Paddle all the way to Vinice Reef with my gps leading us there,and worked to up hill to twin towers area. First line drop was at sunrise. We work the whole area hard. For nothing but one flyline bass. Even there they had lock jaw.
Western outdoors news had tournament at the same time you can hear them on the radio crying no fish. In the area we were working! So it made for good day of fishing. knowing we're not alone on the bite.
