: Hello does anyone have pics of the pro explorers' tank well ?All of the pics I've seen they only show the front part or sides?BTW IS the paddle that comes with the pro explorer "special package" any good ?I think It might be a good start for me but im also thinking about the scupper pro tw.How many miles would one paddle to consider a "tourer" type of kayak? So lets say if I paddle 1 to 4 miles a trip should I consider the scupper pro tw?Or not? thanks!

I don't know about their paddles. Though I'm sure they are priced accordingly and would be fine to get you out on the water.

I've paddled the kayak over 4 miles, so it can be done. It's not a touring style kayak. Yes, the Scupper would make for an easier paddle at any distance. I love my Scupper TW. It's a great fishing kayak though it doesn't have that much deck space. The Explorer is tougher to paddle but is more stable and has much more deck space. It's a trade off. The Explorer has a great front hatch that is easy to stow your gear in (as well as a center utility hatch).

Hard to compare those 2 kayaks. If you think you'll be "touring" more (paddling good distances), you may want to go with the Scupper TW. Check how you sit in the Scupper. The kayak can be too narrow depending upon how wide your hips are. Once you make up your mind, you'll be happy with either kayak.
