: I want to install a transducer in my Fish'n Dive to shoot through the hull. Do any of you have any suggestions with regard to the best location for the transducer in this particular Kayak. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks

Wayne,
It's been a while and I have since traded my FnD for the tandem, however I recall mounting it through the big rectangular hatch, just to the right of the little channel that runs through it and to the left of the scupper holes. You want the puck to be as level as possible when you mount it, but I've never had a problem with it slightly tilted. It's convenient to coil the cords around the scupper holes in the hull as well. As far as install. is concerned, just rub the anticipated mounting spot with 80 grit or so sandpaper, then clean with alcohol and let dry. Shouldn't take more than a minute. Totally cover the bottom of the puck with 3M 5200(Marine/not permanent)press it down in a twisting motion to purge as many of the air bubbles as possible. Place a weight on it maybe 5lbs or 10 lbs. The latter worked for me and sometimes no weight works for people as well, but not very often. If you anticipate placing weight on it, be sure to have something in advance to tip your yak and keep the puck level with the ground as the weight may have a tendancy to slide or make your puck slide. It will take about a week to dry.
Good luck,
Tommy
