I have fished most of the spots all the way up to Piegon Point, and the fishing is great, however, the shark factor can make for an uneasy day of fishing (especially after what i saw a few weeks ago). Also, the wind can get really really gnarly up there. i personally prefer Big Sur, but Davenport, Bonny Doon, Pigeon point, Gazos Creek, Ano Nuevo, Black Rock, Four Mile, Three mile, Scotts Creek, Bean Hollow and the rest can be awesome.

: Just got back from Santa Cruz to buy gear for the yak. The weather was had haze farther out in the bay, but the haze stayed all the way up the coast. The water was Flat all the way up the coast also with the wind picking up in Frisco Bay. Noticed yakers everywhere in the bay and heard PBers in Santa Cruz where going after halibut. Question: Does Anyone Yak/fish near Big Basin Beach? Its north of Bonny Doon. There is alot of unfished coast in them neck of the woods/ from Big Basin beach to Half moon bay. Has anyone launched from Bonny Doon beach to the left of the beach, near the cliff?, really easy launch site.
