Hey guys! I just posting this message to remind you guys to sign up ASAP. Last year we had 180 anglers and almost ran out of food because only about 120 pre-registed. Please don't wait until the last minute. Much Appreciated!

This is a plea for help
When Cancer stops taking our friends, we will stop having this tournament. If you or your family and friends have never been affected by this illness then you have a pass. Other than that you have no excuse for not coming and supporting this event.
Hows that for pressure.
Personally my mother in law passed four months ago after a long battle with cancer. Our friend Chef Stephano passed earlier this year. And just last week an old friend of mine past from prostate cancer.
My wife's brother died at 38 from cancer 12 years ago and of course the tournament name sake Steve Moyer passed just over five years ago.
We donated close to twelve thousand dollars last year to the ACS and to ChefStephano. At this point we can't even cover the cost of the shirts we have ordered.
We have all the sponsors lined up and we have great prizes to give away. With the awesome swag bag from Hobie filled with great prizes, and the huge lunch, and event T-shirt. You get your monies worth plus you get to show your support for our charity. I can tell you honestly that if the people don't show up to support the event, neither will the sponsors.
In all seriousness I know people have other commitments and things going on but we would love to have you all here and I really want to see your names on the list of participants.
Planning an event like this takes a lot of time, which I am happy to donate. We really need your help to make this event work. We have food sponsors, but they are only going to give us enough for those that have registered. We need you to sign up ASAP so we can plan accordingly to make this the great event it has been over the years.
Please help us out by joing us for a fun day and please get on board soon.
Thanks
Jim Sammons and Family

I will be departing from Simi Valley some time Friday night once the traffic thins out, like after 7:00pm. I have room for 2 more yaksters and gear. Will hang for the grub session and prizes afterwards, then head home. If no one joins me then I am staying down overnight and getting a front row seat at the Body Shop! TL Rhino

The on line registration is still up so if you want to avoid paying the additional $10 register on line no later than tonight. IT is Pay Pal but you do not need to have a pay pal account just a credit card.
These are two maps to the weigh in at Kate Sessions Park It is about fifteen minutes from the launch to the Park.

Last minute confirmation but we finally got it.
Cobra Kayaks has donated one of their Expedition kayaks.
If you want a fast boat this is the one for you.
Thanks Rick at the Sailing center for making this happen.
That means we will have kayaks to give away from
Ocean Kayak two Tridents one is for the Auction
Hobie Revolution
Wilderness Systems Tarpon
Old Town Dirigo 140
Malibu XFactor
Cobra Expedition
So we will have at least two kayaks to give away in the raffle possibly more if any of the divisions go unclaimed.
Once again a huge thanks goes out to our sponsors.
Thanks also to Jas for getting us some Swag from Promar for the captains bags _________________ Founding member 1998

Thanks all of you that were able to make the event, and Jas for the swag from Promar.
Because of the support from our sponsors and participants we are donating over $12000 to the ACS
Thanks again for being a part of it. _________________ Founding member 1998
