Did you guys see this behemoth? Caught in a Promar Ambush by Capt. Dave Hansen. I don't want to make this a big "should he have released it" harp on Capt Dave. He was with somone a few years back that caught an 18lbr in an Eclipse net...the bug was donated (alive) to the Long Beach Aquarium. You think calicos are slow to grow...this bug was older than the Captain. What a monster! The image links go the Bloody Decks where the report is posted.

That is eaisly the new state record as the old one was 16.5 lbs from Catalina a few years back.
