Go early before people get drunk and go on weekdays...
I hear you though. The lake lice are thick this time of year especially on weekends.
When the boats are thick I tend to hug the shore or fish the no-ski and 5mph zones, but I only fish weekdays.
The hot bite right now is in 100ft of water on the buoy line on sardines. 3 to 5s mostly.
The hot bite though for big fish is lake San Antonio, still trying to get up there.

I've been wanting to head up there for some stripers but have no friends on kayaks, I will be there Friday but will be in my float tube at the goon, when you do paddle to the bouy line do you launch from the east ramp or the west ramp, the east ramp would be quite the paddle to the bouy line.
good luck and please post up a report when you get back, this is a trip i definately want to make in the near future. |
